CHILDREN’S BIBLE IN RUSSIA: MEANINGS AND INTERPRETATIONS

Mikhaylova L. B., Mikhailov A. N.                        DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2024-2-9-21

Abstract.

The article examines possible reasons that make it difficult for modern readers to be widely introduced to the Bible – a common cultural property important for all people, regardless of their attitude to religion. Among the main factors influencing the dynamics of reader interest to biblical texts, there is the semantic and interpretive inconsistency of children’s literature of the corresponding profile (“Children’s Bible”, “Bible for Children”, etc.) with the propaedeutic tasks assigned to them. The methods of lexical and artistic-graphic adaptation of the Bible for children and teenage perception are analyzed in the context of various sociocultural changes in the life of the Russian society.

Keywords

V. S. SOLOVYOV’S PHILOSOPHY OF HISTORY: FUNDAMENTAL IDEAS AND PROBLEMS

Makaryev I. V.                                                    DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2024-2-22-32

Abstract.

This article raises the question of the fundamental problems and concepts of knowledge of history in the philosophy of the outstanding Russian thinker Vladimir Sergeevich Solovyov (1853–1900). Using the analysis of three works (“Philosophical principles of integral knowledge”, “Readings about God-manhood” and “Justification of good. Moral philosophy”), an analysis of Solovyov’s philosophy of history is given in connection with ontological, epistemological and cosmological problems, as well as with his ethical and political ideas. It is shown that history for the Russian thinker is a movement towards the absolute unity (all-unity) which specifically manifests itself in the expansion of religious consciousness, and its subject is a living organism in the development of which three moments can be distinguished: the primary state (an external unity of elements), the goal (an internal unity of elements) and the transition state (the separation of elements). The conclusion is drawn about the determining influence of V. S. Solovyov’ historiosophical concept on the subsequent development of religious philosophy of history in Russia.

STUDY OF THE LEVEL OF AGGRESSION AMONG FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS

Timokhina T. V., Goncharova E. V                   DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2024-2-54-65

Abstract.

The article presents the results of a theoretical and empirical study of the level of aggression among first-year students. The authors reviewed literature on the topic under consideration, conducted an empirical psychodiagnostic study with subsequent processing of the results obtained through the use of mathematical and statistical methods. Aspects of the course of various types of aggression are described, as well as possible vectors of its direction.

Due to the rapid development of social networks, changes in the lifestyle of the younger generation, the micro and macro society surrounding them, the political situation and other living conditions, the level of severity of aggressive reactions of a modern student differs significantly from the indicators of the same criteria among students who began their studies in 2012.

In the theoretical study, such methods as comparison, generalization, and classification were used. An empirical study of first-year students was carried out on the basis of the State Educational Institution of Higher Education in Moscow Region “State University of Humanities and Technology” (Orekhovo-Zuevo, Moscow Region) in 2012 and in 2022 and involved 72 and 112 first-year students of the Faculty of Primary Education correspondingly. As tools for this purpose, we used the “Bass-Darki Aggression Level Questionnaire” as well as the “Diagnostics of Self-Evaluation of Mental States” method (G. Eysenck). The results of the study indicate that the level of aggressive reactions of young people, except the “offense” indicator, decreased in 2022 compared to 2012.

It is concluded that it is necessary to organize special work to overcome aggression among first-year students.

Zaitsev A. V.                                                DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2024-2-92-104

Abstract.

The article actualizes the issues of the emergence of a new method of teaching at the lowest level of education in Russia at the beginning of the XIXth century, namely the Bell – Lancaster method of mutual learning, which at that time was considerably popular in European countries. The research aims to analyze, on the study of archival documents, the position and actions of S. S. Uvarov on the issue of sending students of the Main Pedagogical Institute from St. Petersburg to England to study on the spot the features of applying the method of mutual learning and to promote his own ideas for the development of education. The methodological basis of the research is the study of a specific historical and pedagogical phenomenon in the context of a biographical approach. The author substantiates the idea that the role of the trustee of St. Petersburg Educational District in the selection, methodological training of students, their accompaniment on a trip abroad was extremely high, and was also aimed not only at the successful acquisition of knowledge and skills by students, but also at promoting their own ideas for the development of education in the country. The documents prepared personally by S. S. Uvarov are highlighted and characterized, as well as the actions taken by him and aimed at changing the promoted decision on the introduction of the mutual learning method in the Russian Empire. The historical evidence accompanying the consideration of the idea of opening the Second category Main Pedagogical Institute as a special institution for teacher training is shown. The evidence is indicated and argued that S. S. Uvarov formulated a document that allowed accompanying students who went to study abroad.

APPROACHES TO TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGES IN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS IN CUBA

Shevchenko A. Ya.                                              DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2024-2-154-166

Abstract.

The relevance of the study is due, on the one hand, to the fact that foreign language education can be considered as a tool of intercultural communication, and, consequently, as a tool of forming a supranational educational space, which is relevant in relation to the Russian Federation and its friendly countries which include Cuba. In addition, the foreign language education as an academic discipline has a high educational potential, which allows us to consider it as a possible means of transmitting national and universal values.

In this study, the purpose of which is to identify approaches to foreign language education at each of the main periods of its development in educational institutions of Cuba, its main stages are also highlighted and considered in the context of the cultural and historical eras of premodern, modern and postmodern: genesis and development, remission, revival, which, in turn, is the theoretical significance of this study. The practical significance of the study lies in the fact that it can become the basis for constructing an education system that meets the needs of modern society, forming a single educational space in intercultural dialogue with the national systems of other states, with the Cuban one in particular.

The empirical basis for the study was the data from interviews conducted with graduates of Cuban universities and colleges of various years of study dating from the 1970s to the present, curricula and programs for teaching Russian and English in various educational institutions in Cuba.

The study shows changes in approaches to the foreign language education using the example of teaching the English and Russian languages in colleges and universities in Cuba, revealing its specifics at each of the identified stages. It also deals with the current state and problems of the foreign language education in Cuba, such as the use of the communicative method in the context of having no native-speaking teachers, the difficulties in using digital technologies in the learning process, problems of students’ motivation, as well as adaptation of educational and methodological material. A conclusion is also drawn about the main trends in the study of Russian and English in educational institutions in Cuba.

FACTORS OF GAMING IN ART EDUCATION OF CHILDREN

Zhang Ruobing.                                       DOI10.31862/2218-8711-2024-2-258-264

Abstract.

In the given article, the author views gaming as an effective method of teaching fine art and discusses the value of pictorial gaming and the opportunity of using gaming techniques in the art education.

Art teaching occupies a special position compared to other subjects, focusing on three aspects of art education: the uniqueness of the way of thinking, the richness of imagination and the practical aspect in drawing and painting. However, in many schools today, although teachers realize the importance of art education, they tend to follow the old model of teaching. Children are often taught to copy pictures from books and are graded on how well the drawings match the books, causing a large proportion of children to gradually lose interest in art. Being an extremely ancient, widespread and unique phenomenon, the term ‘gaming’ is explored by a vast range of disciplines. Games have always been a natural part of children’s life, and combining art learning with games not only helps students enjoy learning art in a relatively enjoyable and free learning environment, but also provides a platform for students with relatively weak art background to stimulate their enthusiasm for drawing and painting through entertaining game programmers.
