ANTI-PEDAGOGY IN THE MIRROR OF PHILOSOPHICAL REFLECTION

Sukhanova Natalia P.                                            DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2020-2-9-14

Abstract.

Technologization and digitalization have an impact on public life and culture in general, culture is becoming mainstream. The inevitability of the onset of the postmodern epoch with its basic principles, including pluralism, relativism, mosaicism and heterogeneity, is considered. Postmodern philosophy represents the world as a  ultitude of fragments, stable links between which are not observed. The influence of postmodernist principles on pedagogy and the formation of anti-pedagogy is analyzed. The concept of antipedagogy in a radical form rejects the value and significance of upbringing and education. Attention is focused on the critical attitude of anti-pedagogy not only to educatory and pedagogic methods, but also to the consumer society. The technocratic approach is being criticized, the trainee must have a correct idea  of a democratic society, and teachers must be broad-minded people who can step beyond the bounds of the subject being taught. The implementation of postmodernist principles leads to an increase and saturation of the educational environment, to the alignment of the subject-subject interaction of the teacher and student. It is concluded that particular ideas of anti-pedagogy organically exist in the modern education system, but the idea of anti-pedagogical theorists seems to be utopian that a reliable and sure way of changing the educational system is the destruction of this system.

Abstract.

The article concerns the use of learning styles in professionally oriented foreign language training, depending on the characteristics connected with the perception of educational information by students (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, etc.). Based on the analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature and empirical data, it is proposed to use the project methods in teaching a foreign language with senior students of non-linguistic universities, taking into account learning styles both in group and individual student work. The purpose of the article is to show one of the teaching techniques that can solve several problems: the development of foreign-language communicative competencies, information and technical skills, presentation skills and team  building. In addition, practical recommendations on the use of learning styles in the process of mastering a language for professional purposes (LPP) at a non-linguistic university can facilitate in creating the conditions for forming, development and improvement of the system involving stylistic characteristics of students’ intellectual behavior, which will ultimately affect the results of their educational activities.

THREE FOUNDATIONS OF SELF-ORGANIZATION OR MONTESSORI IN THE POSTNONCLASSICAL AGE

Modekin Alexander A., Prokofyeva Elena N.     DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2020-2-93-102

Abstract.

The article is devoted to the study of self-organization in the Montessori Elementary school. The topic of self-organization was previously discussed within different areas of science by P.Kropotkin, H. Haken, E. Sheval and others. M. Montessori described conditions required for the big groups of children to study independently and productively. These conditions can be discussed through the lens of the modern science. The article  contains three groups of the self-organization foundations in the Elementary school: philosophical, psychological and pedagogical. The philosophical foundations are the elements of the self-organizing system, which are the following: an open system, a big amount of the elements and the energy coming to the system from the outside. Psychological foundations are the executive functions development, self-determination and flow. Pedagogical foundations of the self-organization are the key elements of the Montessori Method: a prepared environment, observation by the teacher and mixed age classroom. The theoretical analysis shows that a Montessori Elementary school creates all conditions for self-organized system in any classroom.

MOST COMMON MISTAKES CHINESE STUDENTS MAKE WHILE LEARNING RUSSIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Sokolova Galina E.                                            DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2020-2-146-154

Abstact.

This article analyzes the various types of mistakes that Chinese students who come to study to Russia make. Since the improvement of the students’ speech culture and literacy is one of the main challenges that a teacher of Russian as a foreign language faces, it is necessary to carefully differentiate, distinguish and combat all possible sorts and kinds of errors Chinese students make while studying. Unfortunately, most students’ language competence is too low for a fullfledged academic activity. They find it difficult to communicate in the Russian language, to work with the educational material, to write,  listen to, perceive, and then to reproduce the lecture material. The Chinese language is fundamentally different from the Russian language, for example, Chinese nouns are not marked for gender, number, or case. And when learning Russian, students face rules and language norms, which they find very difficult not only to understand, but also to apply in practice. Observations and years of experience of teaching Chinese students prove that the mistakes, they make in the process of learning Russian, are quite similar. Therefore, the article attempts to consider, analyze and organize possible cases of violation of all language norms of the Russian language.

GENESIS OF THE IDEAS OF SOCIAL PROGRESS IN HISTORICAL-PHILOSOPHICAL THOUGHT

Rodicheva Irina S., Sukhanova Natalia P.            DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2020-1-9-15

Abstract.

Development and social changes are realized in the culture and fixed by the public consciousness, beginning with the ancient civilizations. The concept of progress is viewed through the prism of the history of philosophy. Attention is focused on the creation of the first cyclical theories of the development of society by Plato and Aristotle, the spread of social change to various spheres of social structure. The perception of the idea of social progress as the flourishing and movement for a better future in the philosophical theories of the New time is shown, reflecting political optimism and faith in the abilities and intelligence of human. We analyze the genesis of social progress during the 19th century, the belief in the continuous progressive development of humanity, human values, to the aid of which science and technology come. The weakening of people’s faith in absolute and endless progress is taking place against the background of the historical events of the 20th century, including wars, revolutions, environmental disasters and economic crises, resulting in the flowering of historical pessimism, disappointment and doubt in the progressive movement. Under the conditions of the modern civilizational crisis, the idea of progress is replaced by ideas about the regressive nature of social and societal changes. The evolutionary nature of philosophical concepts, the acquisition of the status of philosophy of not being an abstract theoretical concept, but a fundamentally important tool for understanding modern society and predicting historical and social perspectives, is given. The article provides the conclusion that the concepts of zero growth and restrained, gradual development are replacing the idea of progress and regress, while positivist philosophy gives way to syncretic directions and a tolerant attitude towards the world as a whole.

Abstract.

The main goal of the article is to describe the social efficiency of St. Petersburg schools using such criteria as subject  effectiveness and functional literacy. The marker of social efficiency in the empirical studies carried out by the authors of the article is the frequency of school students turning to tutoring services. The methodological basis of the study is the use of the method of secondary data analysis, which was obtained from a series of surveys among schoolchildren, parents, teachers and St. Petersburg school leavers. In addition to the empirical data obtained, the Unified State Exam ratings of the schools that took part in the surveys were collected. The concepts of the effective school are presented. The generalized “portraits” of the effective (according to the Unified State Examination criterion) and socially effective in terms of the frequency of accessing the services of tutors are given. Authors also provide the characteristics of the functional literacy concept and highlight the signs of school effectiveness by the criterion of functional literacy. Characteristics that were most distinct for effective and inefficient schools by the criterion of functional literacy were visualized. The information obtained as the result of the study can be used by school principals and teachers to improve the quality of the educational institutions’ activities and their social efficiency.

INTEGRATED PRAGMATIC MORAL EDUCATION OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Savchenkov Vladimir I.                                    DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2020-1-119-125

Abstract.

In article the technique allowing high school students to form a priority of the internal moral principles and a tendency to the positive moral choice is described. Sharp discrepancy of unique individual characteristics of Russians (for example, “emigration from Russia is the most successful for all history of the United States, and the gap with other diasporas is huge”) with
the level of a such capacious indicator as the median salary is explained by a little simplifying “rules of the game” followed by society corresponding to “the golden rule of morality”. The authors, who claim that sharp “falling of morals” happened during the last  decades, in other works recognize that in days of “the Soviet power” “the double morals”, which are closer to “lack of morals” than to its “originality”, prevailed. Prominent scientists explain small efficiency of huge volume of educational actions in decades of “the Soviet power” with a priority of “pro-social altruism” though the position of “reasonable egoism”, or pragmatism, is more realistic. Progress in “awareness of usefulness and advantage of respect for ethical standards for successful activity, especially in the long term perspective” was made on the basis of complex use of practices of the leading Russian psychologists and teachers: the principle of unity of training and up-bringing, effectiveness of influence of big and small social groups (an analogue of a small group was the pedagogical team), a priority of the training technologies directed to updating of spiritual and moral qualities of the person. Introduction of the technique into “mass” school will demand not only careful development and optimization of methodical recommendations for teachers of each subject. To interest the teacher in this case often is a much more labor-consuming task, than the subsequent interest of students’.

Abstact.

The article deals with the issue of the language adaptation of foreign students who have left the preparatory faculty and begun their studies in Russian in the first year of the main faculty of the Russian University. The main problem is the lack of knowledge of Russian by foreign students to understand and take notes at lectures, to actively participate in seminars. The article identifies and discusses the main difficulties faced by foreigners while studying in Russia and the reasons of their appearance, analyzes the conditions of training of foreign  students at the preparatory faculty and the real results of this training, the main of which is the discrepancy between what foreign students know and are capable of and what they need to know and be able to, becoming the first-year students of a Russian University. Most first-year foreign students find it difficult to study at the same level with Russian students, so they need the support and understanding of not only teachers of Russian as a foreign language, but also teachers of other subjects. It is noted that teachers who don’t specialize in teaching Russian as a foreign language can’t and don’t want to adequately assess the level of knowledge of a foreign student and help them if needed. The article proposes a possible solution to this

Abstract.

On the basis of the requirements of modern reality with its economic, cultural and social problems, the basic concepts of modern education are changing significantly. School in modern society must focus on the personality of the student, on their holistic development. Various and complex processes that take place in modern society, require to teach, educate and develop people who will be able to solve problems in a non-standard way, i.e. will have inventive, or, as now more often said, creative thinking, the main parameters of which are fluency, originality and flexibility of thinking. To develop fluency and originality of thinking, it is necessary to broaden horizons, offering the integration of academic subjects with the various aspects of reality around us. These days the tasks of the USE in Mathematics contain problems in probability calculus and combinatorics. Therefore, it is necessary to train high school students to solve such problems. “LOGIC AND CRITICAL THINKING”: THE CAMPUS COURSE SETTING

Sukhanova Natalia P.                                          DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2019-6-15-20

Abstract.

The article discusses the software setting implemented in the education system of the campus course “Logic and Critical Thinking”. It shows the unsatisfactory nature of the traditional information educational model, focused on the transfer of knowledge of a reproductive nature. Innovative research education is impossible without critical thinking. The attention is focused on the fact that critical thinking is not formed by itself, it is necessary to develop a strategy for its development. The key setting of the campus course is analyzed, whose goal is to form effective, rational thinking. The art of thinking can be critically taught and therefore the campus course studies language as a means of cognition, concept, statement, deductive and believable conclusions, logical and epistemic aspects of argumentation. Special attention is paid to the study of creative thinking - the theory of solving inventive problems. It is concluded that the campus course “Logic and Critical Thinking” contributes to the development of creative abilities of students, it serves the idea of preparing an independently and critically thinking specialist.

STYLE OF THE INTRPERSONAL RELATION AND SOCIO-PSYCHOLOGICAL ADAPTEDNESS OF MODERN TEENAGERS

Florovskiy Sergey Yu.

Abstract.

Results of an empirical research of interrelation of socio-psychological adaptedness of the senior teenagers (n = 297) with style peculiarities of their interpersonal relation (the attitudes towards people around) are presented in the article. The socio-psychological adaptedness of adolescents is considered from positions of the theoretical model of “adjustment” of the developing personality offered by H. Bell. This model assumes allocation of six life spheres.
These are family relation, health, daily social contacts, emotionality, interaction with people around, and attitudes towards to sex and role standards. The style of the interpersonal relation is treated as the steady system of individual and peculiar cognitive schemes, patterns of emotional experience and structures of the potential behavioral reactions directed to other person as the partner in communication and social interaction which is formed on the basis of life experience of interpersonal interaction. The main theoretical constructs of our research were operationalized by means of adult form of the adjustment inventory developed by H. Bell (in A. A. Rukavishnikov and M. V. Sokolova’s adaptation) and the technique of the interpersonal diagnostics (adapted by L. N. Sobchik) created by T. Leary. It is revealed that increase in level of socio-psychological adaptedness of teenagers is caused by activation of the imperious leading, independent dominating and responsible and generous trends within their interpersonal relation in combination with minimization of expressiveness of mistrustful and skeptical altogether with obedient and timid communicative manifestations. The most powerful regulatory effect of the style of interpersonal relation takes place in such spheres of socio-psychological adaptation of teenagers as the daily social contacts and area of emotional life.

personality of the teenager, modern world, socio-psychological adaptedness, style of the interpersonal relation (the attitudes towards people around).

Abstract.

The article is devoted to the study of the processes of professional socialization of students by means of forming critical thinking within the educational process. According to the results of the research work, a model was designed to develop students’ critical thinking as a means of socialization, including such structural components as: stages of professional socialization, indicators of critical thinking and forms of organization of classes. As forms of conducting classes, we considered interactive forms of work, which in their turn promote interaction, mutual understanding and mutual enrichment, as well as provide highquality assimilation of theoretical material. The study was conducted in three stages: ascertaining, shaping and controlling. The sample of the study consisted of 50 people (experimental group – 25, and the control group – 25). Based on the forms we reviewed, we developed a series of classes that were conducted in an experimental group, based on the development of tolerance in business and interpersonal communication.

INTERRELATION OF A TEACHER’S EMOTIONAL BURNOUT WITH THE ECO-CARING ORIENTATIONS AS A SUBJECT OF ECONOMIC SELF-DETERMINATION

Khashenko Tatiana G., Safukova Nadezda N., Konysheva Maria G.

Abstract.

The published research is part of a broader and multifaceted study of the relationship of the psychological well-being of an individual in the profession with the peculiarities of their economic selfdetermination. The article presents the results of an empirical study of the relationship of emotional burnout of a high school teacher with eco-caring determination of their economic selfdetermination. The eco-caring orientations of the subject of economic self-determination are understood as integral personality-motivational formations that encourage him to take care of the external and internal environment of their own life and to minimize possible negative consequences for it in accordance with the principle of eco-conformity. The empirical base of the study is represented by school teachers (175 people) who teach at different levels of compulsory education (primary school, middle and high school) in urban and rural schools. To diagnose the studied variables we used validated methods: the “Emotional burnout” questionnaire (V. V. Boyko) and the “E-CO” questionnaire (T. G. Khashchenko, N. N. Safukova, S. V. Boltunova). For statistical data processing we used correlation analysis (Spearman method), method of comparing independent variables (U-Mann-Whitney criterion), cluster (K-means) analysis with the use of the software product “Statistica for Windows”. The obtained results confirm the connection of the teacher’s emotional burnout with the triad of his eco-friendly orientations (nature, self- and social caring) in the processes of economic self-determination.

Keywords:

subjective well-being, emotional burnout, economic self-determination, ecocaring orientations.

THE ROLE OF N. K. KRUPSKAYA IN THE CREATION OF THE SOVIET EDUCATION SYSTEM: HISTORY AND MODERNITY

Bryantseva Marina V., Wittenbek Viktor K.

Abstract.

In the article, the authors try to consider the image of N. K. Krupskaya, which cannot be interpreted unambiguously and one-sidedly: this is a multifaceted and odious figure whose way of life took place in conditions of social conformation as a counterweight to conformism of passive members of the party and society, a constant struggle regarding the living conditions directly combined and connected with the history of our country. The paradox and dualism was that the revitalization of N. K. Krupskaya as a statesman, one of the founders of the new Soviet pedagogical school, fell on the period of the destruction of the old state machine and the formation of a new socialist society. Proceeding from this, it is impossible to condemn or extol the actions of N. K. Krupskaya, but it is necessary to thoroughly and carefully examine them from one or another statepolitical aspect. The authors tried to trace the prolongation of the pedagogical thoughts, ideas of N. K. Krupskaya into modern pedagogy.

THE FIRST DECADES OF THE SOVIET SCHOOL IN SCIENTIFIC HERITAGE

Ovchinnikov Anatoly V.                                    DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2019-6-145-157

Abstract.

The article shows the main events of public and scientific life of P. N. Milyukov, analyzes his historical concept of the Russian culture development in terms of the historian’s interpretation of the formation and development process of the national educational system in the early years of the Soviet power. It was the education and school, according to the author’s idea, that became the main ideological institutions of the Soviet society of that time. Being in emigration, P. N. Milyukov closely followed the development of culture and education in the USSR, tried to consider numerous events and facts in the context of the national culture history, having revealed their historical conditionality, continuity and discontinuity of the unified domestic education process. Such an approach allowed the author to continue his research of the earlier period and to create an original concept of the national school development. With his conclusions and generalizations, the scientist showed the example of preservation and development of fundamental domestic scientific historical school of the XIX–XX centuries, even with the analysis of the political regime which differed much from traditions of the Russian statehood.

Abstract.

The article considers the historical conditions of the emergence of the early modern feminists in England of the seventeenth century and shows the viewpoint of some western researchers on the beginning of feministic activities in Europe, the origins of which they attribute to the middle ages. Among the prerequisites for the development of feminism in Europe they point out the importance of the so-called “intellectual families”, which became the source of the emergence of educated women and from which most talented writers and poets subsequently appeared. It shows Bathsua Makin’s treatise “An Essay to revive the ancient education of gentlewomen in Religion, Manners, Arts and Tongues” as an example of the ideas of the early modern feminists, demonstrating how the problem of women’s education in the seventeenth century was the issue of the day.

FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE: HOW TO INCREASE THE PRACTICAL VALUE
OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE TRAINING OF POLICE CADETS

Malyugina Anna V.

Abstact.

Unfortunately, the knowledge of a foreign language, despite the increased demand for English in the modern world, seems irrelevant for most Russian law enforcement officers and police cadets. The reasons for the low motivation to learn a foreign language, and English in particular, are the modern political confrontation with the West; limited travel of police officers abroad; small percentage of offences committed with the participation of foreign citizens; small number of foreign English-speaking tourists (in comparison with Europe), etc. All these factors clearly show that an ordinary policeman from provincial cities may need English for general development at best. The situation is aggravated by the fact that most of the teaching materials used at law faculties in higher education institutions of the Ministry of internal Affairs cover general traditional areas of law and have a low practical value for police officers. The article analyzes the options for improving the practical component of foreign language training of cadets at police academies of higher education of the Ministry of internal Affairs. The article considers the mechanisms of formation and subsequent assessment of foreign language competence of law enforcement officers. Taking into account the fact that police cadets are future employees, the author proposes to use the criteria of personnel assessment in the evaluation of their foreign language competence, paying a particular attention to professional skills. The development of practical professional tasks requiring knowledge of a foreign language with regard to certain posts is considered to be the primary goal in teaching English aimed at increasing the practical value of foreign language education of police cadets.

Abstract.

The article deals with the concept of “knowledge integration maps” as a tool for building a student’s knowledge model. Such a tool creates the prerequisites for tracking the dynamics of forming students’ knowledge, predicting the course of the learning process. This, in its turn, serves as the basis for automating certain elements of the learning process management. The article also discusses the notion of “concept map” and identifies its shortcomings in relation to the problem under consideration. The psychological basis for the introduction of the concept of
“knowledge integration map” is analyzed in the article. The relationship between the cognitive activity and categorization is noted in the article. The structure of worksheets of knowledge integration maps and stages of work with knowledge integration maps are  given. MOTIVATION IN A MONTESSORI SCHOOL AS AN IMPORTANT COMPONENT OF INDEPENDENCE

Prokofyeva Elena N.                                         DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2019-6-248-256

Abstract.

The article is devoted to the motivation in the Montessori Elementary School. This topic was previously discussed by A. Murray, F. Koh, S. Kendall and others. There have not been any related studies in Russia yet. The USA researchers consider motivation in Montessori Elementary through the lens of self-determination theory. A part of selfdetermination theory is called the Organismic integration theory. The Montessori Elementary School allows children not only to develop their intrinsic motivation but also self-motivate to study less favorite subjects. Maria Montessori’s approach to the Elementary school is called Cosmic Education. Cosmic Education is a holistic development of a child. The child is free to follow his/her interests, the teacher always shows the relation between subjects and helps the child to find his/her cosmic task. This article considers the stages of the Organismic integration theory and their relation to the Montessori Elementary procedure. The last stage of the Orgainsmic integration theory is integrated regulation which means that a person is able to enjoy doing something that initially didn’t evoke their intrinsic motivation. Integrated regulation occurs when people realize the value of the particular actions for themselves and for others. The theoretical analysis leads to the following conclusion: Cosmic Education not only develops intrinsic motivation but also assists development of the integrated regulation. This article is theoretical and proposes a hypothesis to be tested.

Abstract.

The given article studies the advantages and disadvantages of new learning methods and techniques being practiced in a Higher Education Institution. It also reviews the effectiveness of these methods while using internationally, e.g. in Universities of Cambridge and Harvard. The national system of higher education reform reveals great interest in University professors towards active and interactive learning methods and techniques. These training techniques help to develop professional competence, since within the transition to educational standards of new generation, the personal development, competitiveness and professional mobility become acute. Along with traditional methods of learning at the stage of reorganization of higher education system, active and interactive learning technologies, such as the model of “inverted learning”, case study method, or project training (PBL), become particularly urgent.

VIRTUAL REALITY: UNDERSTANDING THE PERSPECTIVE

Rodicheva Irina S., Sukhanova Natalia P.

Abstract.

The concept of “virtual reality” is undergoing a philosophical review, th categorical ambiguity of which brings forth significant difficulties of its use. The existence of cyberspace implies a virtual world filled with a bunch of documents in the information systems. The article focuses on the nonidentity problem of virtual reality and the Internet, as well as the influence of virtual reality on real life, human activity and values, thoughts and culture. In the modern world, human beings form emotional attachments to virtual objects and one of the dubious endeavours of technogenic civilization is the fact that live communication is often neglected nowadays. The advantages and disadvantages of virtualization in the education system presented by distance learning are also reviewed. In addition to verbalized traditions, there is non-verbalized, personal knowledge, transmitted directly from teacher to student and that is lost in the system of distance education. As the significant consequence of technological development, the concept of transhumanism that promotes the manipulation of human nature and his/her modernization, is being analyzed. It is concluded that the development of technology, virtualization of reality raises the issue of the nature of this phenomenon and the ways of its existence.

VALUE SYSTEM OF REPRESENTATIVES OF GENERATION Y IN THE CONTEXT OF THE THEORY OF GENERATIONS. RUSSIAN SPECIFIC

Gorokhov Sergey A., Zaplitnyy Ivan D.              DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2019-5-18-25

Abstract.

This article discusses the basic values and worldview of the “Millennials” generation or “generation Y”. The authors put forward a thesis about the greater propensity of this generation to selfishness and a greater degree of adaptability to changing sociocultural conditions, as well as a sense of selfsufficiency than previous generations. As the
empirical substantiation of the assumptions, the sociological research the sample results of which are published in this article is used. The authors pay special attention to the theory of generations created by V. Strauss and N. Hove. The authors come to the conclusion about hyperbolization and lack of scientific substantiation of the put forward theses in ascertaining a certain degree of increase in the share of selfishness and adaptability of this generation, as well as an increasing role of representatives of generation Y in the political, socio-cultural and economic spheres.

THE VARIETY OF DEFINITIONS TO THE CONCEPT OF “THINKING”: CLARIFICATION OR LOSS OF THE ORIGINAL VALUE?

Trifonova Ekaterina V., Fedorova Elena P.          DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2019-5-26-39

Abstract.

The article posed the question of expanding the thesaurus of the psychological science on the example of the concept of “thinking”. The authors draw attention to the current trend: the emergence of new definitions of thinking in scientific publications, which consider specific “types” of thinking: “critical”, “standard”, “non-standard”, “imaginative thinking”, “creative”, “sanogenic”, etc. It is analyzed how frequent the concept of «thinking» is used in the research; in particular, it is indicated that about 240 different definitions used to the concept of “thinking” are recorded. We draw attention to the tendency of losing the original (initial) meaning of the term “thinking”, the loss of understanding of the essential psychological characteristics of thinking as a process of solving a problem. We also note that the emergence of new terms, “types of thinking”, which are introduced by the authors of the research for a specific problem to be solved, brings about the “erosion” of the concept of “thinking” in its original meaning.

Keywords:

thinking, non-standard thinking, standard thinking, divergent thinking, convergent thinking, imaginative thinking thinking, creative thinking, critical thinking, sanogenic thinking, categories of psychology.

FORMING THE REPRESENTATION OF ONESELF AND OF AN ORTHODOX THEOLOGIST`S IDEAL IMAGE AS A BASIS FOR THE PROFESSIONAL FORMING A FUTURE SPECIALIST

Feldman Inessa L., Romanov Alexander A.         DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2019-5-40-47

Abstract.

This article reveals the theoretical basis of the self-concept and the Self-identity image study in psychology and emphasizes that the tendency to analyze oneself, the need to generalize and systematize knowledge about oneself, to relate one’s self-image to an ideal one as well as self-education, self-esteem are the most important characteristics for the formation of a future specialist. The article analyzes the works of foreign and domestic psychologists, such as R. Burns, W. James, V. S. Agapov, who give us various approaches to the problem of the self-concept and its structural components. The authors investigate the ideas about ‘self’ and the ideal image of an Orthodox theologian among the students majoring in the Orthodox theology. It is noted that there is very little research on the personal characteristics of the students majoring in theology, and studying the idea of oneself and the ideal image of a future theologian is not only of a theoretical interest, but it is also connected with the increasing efficiency of solving the problems with specialists` formation. The paper presents the results of an empirical study concerning the students majoring in theology from junior to senior years basing on the methods of diagnosing interpersonal relations by T. Leary. The results show us that the efficiency of the professional training and the professional development of a future theologian depends on the meaning and importance of the profession for the given person, and how the future specialist relates themselves to it. The comparative analysis of an one`s self image and an ideal image formation among the students majoring in theology generally indicate the development of subjectivity, a critical attitude toward oneself, and a desire to improve oneself.

Keywords:

Self-identity image, Self-concept, real self, ideal self, self relation, students majoring in theology, theological training, personal professionalism.

ONLINE AND OFFLINE EDUCATION: METHODOLOGY AND DECISION MAKING
Round table materials

V. V. Mironov, etc.

Abstract.

The article presents the results of the round table “Online and offline education: methodology and decision-making”. The round table discussed various aspects of the relationship between online and offline education. The round table was attended by the faculty and students of the Faculty of Philosophy of Lomonosov Moscow State University, colleagues from the Institute for Strategy of Education Development of the Russian Academy of Education, as well as representatives of Novosibirsk, Astrakhan, Kaliningrad, and Ulyanovsk universities. The round table not only addressed the issues of online and offline education in accordance with its name, but its own work was also organized both online and offline. The participants of the round table were unanimous in their understanding of the current situation in the education, within which not the replacement of offline education with online education is important, but a reasonable balance between the traditional speech dialogue and the possibilities of modern digital technologies. Specific examples of the existing interaction between these two forms of education were analyzed. It was shown that at the stage of familiarization of the respective subject areas’ languages, for example, in the case of the philosophical language, the direct dialogue with the lecturer cannot be replaced by watching the online courses. Online feedback is mechanistic and suffers from the lack of empathy. Participants of the round table addressed also research experience of the foreign economists, psychologists, and philosophers who concluded that there are no reliable studies that would show that switching to online education does indeed reduce costs, crucially increases intellectual ability or knowledge and students’ competencies. Roundtable participants supported the idea of online education as a set of additional learning tools for the traditional educational system. At the same time, the discussion represented below is also of crucial importance, because it can be considered as an example of the philosophy and philosophers’ implementation in their most important modern function – the humanitarian expertise of new social projects and technologies.

TEMPORAL MARKERS OF PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY OF THE ELDERLY PEOPLE

Tylets Valery G., Krasnyanskaya Tatyana M., Iokhvidov Vladimir V.

Abstract.

The practice of improving the general well-being of elderly people is associated with the deepening of understanding of such age phenomena as a sense of youth and a sense of old in their connection with the psychological security of an individual. The authors suggested that the sense of youth and sense of old are  temporal phenomena that determine the poles of psychological security of an individual in the late phases of human life. The search study was performed on the basis of three samples of subjects within the age range of 40–43 years, 55–58 years and 70–73 years. Thefour-component structure of the considered phenomena including «inner Self», «external Self», «motivators I» and «time I» is revealed. It is found that the connection with the psychological security of the sense of youth is provided by the inner freedom, mental stability, optimism, positivity, spiritual harmony, interest in life, passion for work, self-confidence, desire for self-realization, enjoyment of the present; sense of old – by the anxiety, vulnerability, depression, stigmatization, preservation of the usual, dissatisfaction with the present, denial and fear of the future. Invariant markers of psychological security of the person for the sense of youth are marked by the inner freedom and optimism, for the sense of old – depression of the subject. On the empirical material the existence of the relation between the psychological security of the individual and the experience of the sense of youth has been proved.

EMOTIONAL AND EVALUATIVE FEATURES OF THE PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL OBJECTS ACCORDING TO THE “NONEXISTENT ANIMAL” AND THE SEMANTIC DIFFERENTIAL TESTS

Khekalo Tatyana V.

Abstract.

A new test is proposed on the basis of the famous drawing test “nonexistent animal”. The scheme of the new test is direct test – reverse test. To prove that the image is a stimulus (physical and chemical object), not a projection (self-portrait), it is proposed to determine the gender of the animal depicted. The paper gives a brief overview of two alternative points of view on the picture: projection and prosopopeia. The data on the nature, origin and meaning of the category of gender in a human language and thinking are also given. The evidence of good validity
of the new test is given. The results of the nonexistent animal test are compared with the semantic differential test. It has turned out that the nonexistent animal test characterizes the gender of the figure, while the semantic differential test characterizes the gender of the grammatical form of the word – stimulus. It is proved that in this test, artists-informants depict not their self-portrait (projection), but a “portrait” of an incentive (prosopopeia). The results of the two reverse tests correspond well with each other. The experimental data will be used for the study of the emotional attitude of students to physical and chemical objects (jelly, crystal-dendrite, Liesegang rings, fractal).

Keywords:

JOENS JACOB BERZELIUS: THE SWEDISH LOMONOSOV (A COURSE OF LIFE OF THE SCIENTIST IN THE CONTEXT OF “PEDAGOGICS OF THE PERSONALITY”)

Bagashvili Inna R.

Abstact.

The given article studies the life journey of the outstanding Swedish chemist J. Berzelius in the context of “pedagogics of personality”. The research is concerned with those aspects of Berzelius’s biography which are especially important for the educational process at the high comprehensive and higher school. The author of the article considers in detail such aspects as the role of studying great scientists’ biographies in the educational process of the high and higher school, as well as the influence of the potential of the great personality on the increase of the students’ educational level. In particular, it is specified that the events which took place in the scientist’s life, the tops which he reached by means of his mind and talent, have to motivate students to succeed in their educational activity.  The research methodology is the pedagogy of personality – the direction created in the European pedagogical science at the end of the XIX century. This direction is based on training of children and young people in rational brainwork, ability to conduct a conversation, to retell and analyze the text they read. Pupils ought to overcome their indecisiveness, internal dissatisfaction and become active, outstanding personalities. The novelty of the research is that the biography of the great Swedish chemist Jens Jacob Berzelius is for the first time analyzed in the context of pedagogy of personality and influence of the main aspects of “the Swedish Lomonosov’s” life and creativity on increase of the high comprehensive and higher school students’ educational potential. It is emphasized that the name of Jens Jacob Berzelius’s is not less significant for the Russian educational tradition, than the glorified name of M. Lomonosov’s. Respectively, the conclusion was drawn that it is important to school students and students to know Jens Jacob Berzelius’s biography and the history of the discoveries made by him.

E. ILYENKOV’S PROBLEM OF IDEAL AND A NEW IMAGE OF CONSCIOUSNESS

Schastlivtsev Roman A.

Abstract.

The article presents a new interpretation of E. V. Ilyenkov’s concept of ideal. It is shown that Ilyenkov’s understanding of the ideal allows its interpretation in the spirit of modern medial concepts. In this regard, the ideal can be understood as culture in general. The evolutionary approach to this problem allows us to find the rudiments of the ideal in nature. A broad view on the problem of the ideal through the prism of mediality makes it possible to use the dialectic of the direct-indirect. The latter helps to present the ideal as a system of mediations of the material primarily in the human culture. Thus, the ideal appears as formulated, acquired a material form of activity, history and culture indefinite internal mental process, the beginning of which lies also in the activity, history, culture. Action, image, text can be regarded as an external form, inseparable from the internal ideal form.

The article reveals the issue of forming the national identity in high school students. The idea that the national identity formation is impossible without the use of the pedagogical capabilities of the national culture is substantiated. National culture has always been and still remains an intellectual resource, the focus of unique cultural processes, the spiritual and moral core and the source of people’s livelihood. The basic culture of the Sakha people is education in the course of joint educational, cognitive and labor activities of children and adults. Abstract.

The paper states that traditional methods and the latest technology always work on the development of the same abilities: to think, to analyze, to find creative solutions, to take responsibility, to quickly navigate the changing circumstances. There have been considered simple tasks from different areas of knowledge, which, however, provide an opportunity to develop the skills of selfobservation, analytical thinking, to build an adequate pattern of events in general and they also teach the methodological technique of reducing the problem to such a “marginal” form when its solution becomes obvious.

THEOLOGY AND PEDAGOGY IN THE MODERN UNIVERSITY: THE BASICS OF SYNERGY

Divnogortseva Svetlana Yu.

Abstract.

The author argues in favour of two ways of theological knowledge with the content of modern pedagogical education interaction. The first path is associated with the training of teachers of religious faith and culture. It must be variable-based, take into account the ideological orientation of students and therefor include studying theological courses as a General theoretical preparation and methodologically oriented disciplines in the content of their training. At the same time, the author offers ways of improving pedagogical training of students of theological seminaries and academies, departments of theology, aimed at the future teaching of religious faith and culture. The second way is connected with the study of history and theory of the Orthodox pedagogical culture in a pedagogical university. The Orthodox pedagogical culture has historically dominated in the domestic educational environment for a millennium. It is based on the theological doctrine that includes the Orthodox anthropology. The author gives her own experience of building the content of teacher education in the faith-based University as an example of the implementation of the theology and pedagogy interaction. This experience can be adapted for use in other higher education institutions.

RETROSPECTIVE ANALYSIS OF INCLUSIVE EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT: WORLD EXPERIENCE

Maltceva Ekaterina Yu.

Abstract.

Modern society in the context of social and economic changes faces a variety of open questions, one of which is humanization of the civic and societal life of the society. The process of humanization is traced through all the spheres of the societal functioning, especially in education. The education sector of the recent years tends to design a comfortable learning environment for all members of the society despite their ethnicity, race and gender, social status or health problems. This tendency brings about a new learning model – inclusive education, which is aimed at the integration of people with health limitations into the process of education. The author of the article examines the issue of inclusive education, period of its development in Russia and abroad, and main principles which form the basis for the inclusive education and which should be observed while teaching people with health limitations. Stages of development of the inclusive education in some foreign countries (European countries, USA and Japan) as well as in Russia have been analyzed. The conducted historical research on the education development shows that the foreign countries have been carrying out this work for a long period and have had successful results of its implementation and realization, while the Russian practice reveals the entry level of realization of the inclusive approach to educating people with health limitations.

THE ROLE OF SOCIAL MEDIA IN AN ADAPTIVE NETWORK EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT

Boyarinov Dmitry A.

Abstract.

The article discusses the role of the social media in an adaptive network educational environment. It also considers the modern domestic and foreign approaches to the definition of the “social media” concept and the description of their role in the educational process. There are some constructive conclusions made in the article that one should take into account while designing an adaptive network educational environment and which can be used as the basis for a model of usage of the social media in this educational environment. These conclusions are: the expediency of using specially created networks, the crucial importance of quick access to information (“one click” access); usage of the search by full-text query as the main search tool. The main components of a social network within the framework of an adaptive network educational environment are identified. These components are: “groups”, “blog” and “my page”. The factors that determine the effectiveness of these components as tools for organizing the work of students are analyzed in the article. The essential role of the means of motivation and providing feedback is noted. The creation of special groups is proposed as a form of such means. The minimum required set of elements in such groups is highlighted in the article. That set includes: title; main text field; a set of discussion forums; wall comments. A model of the use of the social media in an adaptive network educational environment contributing to the implementation of the property of intermodality is proposed. The fact that the individualization of the learning environment will give learners the opportunity for creative expression in learning activities is emphasized in the article. The fact that social networks naturally and effectively reflect the contours of the existing social relationships is noted. This fact is crucial in terms of giving a key feature (which is adaptability) to the designed educational environment.

Abstract.

The mission of the practiceoriented education is training of wellgrounded professionals in the light of modern requirements for quality of education as well as shaping both professional and personal traits in future graduates. The extremely valuable educational resources are electronic learning ones. The need for them is, first of all, put down to the poor interactive teachware, especially in in the segment of practice of all kinds. The Department of practical and project education of Belgorod State Agricultural University (Russian Federation) has designed some special computer programs that operate as electronic learning resources of the practiceoriented education. The programs under analysis conduce to a wide application of the project teaching method as well as the method of cooperation technology. The software designed tackles a problem of the students’self-control in the field of their theory learning and provides them with the information on the state of the agricultural sector of the region. MODELING AND DIAGNOSTICS OF EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT RISKS BASED ON MATHEMATICAL METHODS

Lyaluk Alexander V.

Abstract.

The article is devoted to the development of primary mathematical models and the diagnosis of risk factors of the educational environment. The functioning of the educational environment is a multifactor process, the results of which are multidimensional. Factors and results of the educational environment should be characterized by a certain numerical value, without which it is impossible to carry out risk management. It is substantiated that mathematical methods should be used in modeling and diagnosing the risks of the educational environment: methods of the theory of sets and relations, methods of linear algebra, and methods of the theory of limits. Various formulas for assessing the riskiness (danger) of participants in social and pedagogical interaction and the teaching staff are presented, which allow one to create a basis for identifying potential and real sources of risks in the educational environment, to predict ways to overcome them.

Abstract.

This article reflects non-standard approaches to the study of disciplines related to the study of the confessional environment – both, Russian and foreign. It proposes to use the pieces of literature and feature movies to consolidate the basic concepts of the course and to expand the information on the key didactic units. It also draws some examples of organizational forms of practical sessions aimed at practical application of knowledge gained during the lectures. The purpose of applying the described methods is to develop students’ creative thinking, as well as the ability to make independent conclusions concerning the confessional processes. The methods are illustrated by examples of the seminars held in St. Petersburg State University of Economics. The main modern non-standard methods of studying confessional environment being considered in the article are the following: application of works of literature and cinematography to state the basic concepts of the educational discipline; development and provision of excursions for confessional subjects by students in real conditions of the confessional environment; comparative analysis of questionnaire surveys and interviews of those of the traditional confessions of the studied region. PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS OF COMMUNICATION IN CONTEMPORARY EDUCATION

Simonova Margarita M.

Abstract.

The article considers multiple directions of using unifying communication in modern society, its importance in social life. The study of communication processes in modern education makes it possible to ensure the intensification of the learning process and to use the scientific potential of communicability in a specific learning situation. This makes possible a dialogue on the informatization of the education system, on the training of specialists for the intensive development of information technologies and who are capable of updating the modern education in the country. Education, being a variant and a means of communication, is called upon to introduce a learning personality into a vast, integral world of communication. Today, a more intensive understanding of the question of the worldview in education is required as a powerful communicator, connecting a system of various scientific researches in favor of education. At present, the direction of the socio-cultural approach to the organization of education is being strengthened. It involves communication synthesis, integration of socio-cultural and natural-scientific bases of education. Communication processes in society, conditionally separated from direct educational systems, but connecting the most diverse and strong streams of science, politics, ideology, and civil society institutions, objectively serve to better understanding the realities of the globalized world and the responsibility of everyone for the place of the country in it. The task of education, using all the modern achievements in the field of cybernetics and informatics, to enlighten the younger generation about the invisible currents of the slipping away of information meanings in the vast volumes of communication space, about the possibilities of manipulating communicative PR, advertising and sociopolitical field penetrated with communicative technologies.

THE IDEA OF GOD-LIKENESS IN THE PEDAGOGICAL THEORY AND PRACTICE OF ANCIENT RUSSIA (X–XIII CENTURIES)

Nalyotova Natalya Yu., Senchenkov Nikolay P.

Abstract.

Studying and judgment of education, upbringing, a pedagogical thought during this or that historical period is defined by an anthropological paradigm. We build this article upon the provision that the processes of education, upbringing, pedagogical systems or theories are based on certain views about the human-being, ideas of ideals of them and therefore can be understood only in a context of the human-being. Any people’s ideal of man corresponds to the national character, is defined by the public and cultural life of people, and evolves altogether with their development. In this article the authors set the  task of studying the specifics of a personality ideal of the Ancient Russia era (the 10–13th centuries), achievement of it by means of a religious thought, education, practice of education, insightful literature, mentoring. During the Old Russian period Russia connects tasks of educating the person with the initial development of the personality inwardness, their religiousness and moral behavior; that becomes the central anthropological idea of the domestic education, its civilization essence, sense, original sign and also the general prevailing tendency. This article makes a contribution to the theory of education, to history of a pedagogical thought of Russia. From the point of view of methodology the article submits the gnoseological analysis of processes of forming and developing the domestic education and upbringing to the pedagogical science in the context of the Orthodox anthropology. INFLUENCE OF SOCIAL AND DEMOGRAPHIC AND INTER SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT ON THE FUNCTIONAL LITERACY AND VALUE ORIENTATION OF SCHOOL GRADUATES

Matyushkina Marina D., Belousov Konstantin Y.

Abstract.

The role of social and demographic context, family capital and school in achieving various education results is topical and debatable today. At the same time, special importance amid the introduction of new federal state education standards goes to the issues related to meta-object competences and functional literacy as well as value orientations characterizing personal results of education. The article provides the integrative correlational research of these important results and conditions conducted on the uniform bulk of data and having allowed to draw generalized conclusions. Three generalized factors have been singled out and described: “easy success”, “professionalism” and “self-fulfillment in a family” characterizing the structure of values and goals of today’s graduates, as well as two factors characterizing their tolerance and patriotism. Seven groups of indices potentially connected to the revealed factors, including social and demographic ones, characteristics of schools and teachers, and “mixed” groups (health, leisure and others), have been defined. Reliable correlations between all the considered variables have been singled out, their rank correlation and possible explanation of the obtained values of correlation relationships has been adduced. The both value orientations and functional literacy of school students are considerably affected by the “inter school environment”, namely characteristics of interactions between teachers and students. Abilities of teachers to engage students into their classes, to teach how to apply knowledge in practice, and general atmosphere at school stimulating self-education and communication between students, supporting their psychological health, are the most important factors. The indices under research are connected to the social-demographic status of students’ families to a lesser degree. The role of the family factors is more significant when forming the value orientations, than the functional literacy of school students.

One can find here the information about the hypothesis of the possible implementation of the second foreign language as a special educational environment which is appropriate for a full development of a student’s personality, the development of the operational mindset, in particular. On the current level of the Chinese language development as a school subject such fundamental concepts as “sign”, “model”, “algorithm”, and “system” might be its subject areas to look at explicitly. According to the offered model of studying, each of the mentioned general scientific notions are used as basic to understand and train the learning material on the certain level of studying Chinese. It helps to shape not only understanding of the subject being, learnt as  a special system, but also active including of the scientific language, wildly used in other school subjects, into the learning process. In its turn, the operational mindset, rising in the process of studying a certain subject, does not exist only in this very process; soon it covers all the activities of a student.
