EDUCATION AND YOUTH POLICY: A SOUND STRATEGY UNDERMINED BY FLAWED TACTICS

Trishchenko D. A.                                                 DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2025-5-9-18

Abstract.

The article points out that political revolution is an undesirable phenomenon in the development of society, which leads to the loss of a number of cultural achievements and does not bring the desired result to its driving forces, that political revolutions are a consequence of the inability of the ruling elite to carry out timely reforms. Since in the demographic aspect young people are the most prone to radical changes, a number of tactical measures for the implementation of state youth policy are considered, based on theoretical and empirical material. A number of problems in youth policy and education are identified, which, on the one hand, hinder the growth of the creative potential of young people, form social dependency, and on the other hand, are capable of introducing a potential factor of conflict into society on a socio-demographic basis and becoming a factor of political instability in the country.

Abstract.

Studying cognitive processes is one of the priority problems in modern psychology. Recent studies have noted a significant transformation of almost all mental processes. These metamorphoses especially concern the so-called digital generation Z. The paper aims at studying the characteristics of parameters of the generation Z students’ clip thinking, memory, and attention. The study was conducted in South Ural State University in 2024. The sample consists of psychology students (N = 180) aged 18 to 24, including 30 men and 150 women. A set of psychodiagnostic methods involved brief selection test (V. Buzin, E. Vanderlik), Bourdon proofreading test method (B. Bourdon), test of selectivity of perceptual attention (E. Thorndike), and short-term memory capacity method (E. Jacobson). The research results revealed specific features of cognitive processes in students majoring in psychology.

CRITERIA OF A FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHER'S PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY SUCCESS

Sorokoumova G. V., Frolova Yu. V.                   DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2025-5-42-53

Abstract.

This article examines the key aspects that make it possible to determine the success of a foreign language teacher’s professional activity. Understanding these criteria can help improve the quality of teaching, as well as of self-realization of teachers themselves. The analysis of theoretical literature allowed us to identify eight indicators contributing to the improvement of foreign language teachers’ professional activity, grouped into three main components: cognitive, emotional and operational. The main method of experimental assessment of success was the PERMA-Profiler well-being questionnaire (tested by A. Yu. Akimova, E. N. Volkova, O. M. Isaeva). The results of the success of foreign language teachers research confirm the theoretical conclusions: the success of a teacher’s professional activity depends on many interrelated factors. To achieve success in teaching a foreign language, it is important to take a comprehensive approach to each of the indicators, which will ultimately lead to the success of the teacher’s professional activity.

RESISTANCE TO CHANGE IN EDUCATION: A CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF THEORETICAL MODELS AND PERSPECTIVES FOR THEIR APPLICATION

Astakhova E. V., Borzova T. V.,
Gladkaya E. F.

DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2025-5-54-67

Abstract.

This article critically analyzes theoretical models of change management within educational settings. It examines classical approaches by Kurt Lewin, John Kotter, and S. Young, alongside contemporary concepts of Robert Kegan and Lisa L. Lahey, Eric Dent and Susan Goldberg, and Russian theories by A. I. Prigozhin, as well as relevant works in organizational psychology. Methodologically, the research employs theoretical and comparative analysis, classification, and generalization. The study reveals that resistance is a natural reaction to change in education, driven by psychological, social, and organizational factors. It argues for the necessity of developing a hybrid model for implementing innovations, taking into account both managerial and psychological dimensions. The findings of the research can serve as a theoretical basis for developing practice-oriented strategies for overcoming resistance to innovation within educational settings.

PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS

Rudova M. A., Zubrilin K. M.                       DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2025-5-146-157

Abstract.

The article examines the influence of the digital educational environment and artificial intelligence (AI) programs on the formation of professional competencies of designers in the course of instruction. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the problems faced by educational institutions in the training of future designers: the lack of training programs and techniques for teaching AI usage, the difficulties of combining traditional methods with innovative technologies, partial and haphazard study of individual AI programs at universities, the lack of qualified specialists capable of teaching methods of working with AI. The article analyzes the main design trends and the relevance of the profession of a designer in the modern world. Digital technologies, graphic editors, 3D technologies and artificial intelligence systems that are used by modern designers in their work are considered. The potential of AI is being explored, which already makes it possible to analyze large amounts of information, generate texts, translate text into a visual series, create interior photos and video concepts, however, it reveals a number of shortcomings and errors in the work of AI when generating texts or creating visualizations. The new requirements that the modern labor market imposes on graduate designers in terms of AI skills are being considered. Specific ways of introducing AI into the educational program are proposed: the creation of new AI training methods with the integration of advanced technologies into the educational process, the involvement of qualified specialists capable of teaching methods of working with AI, and the integration of necessary software into the educational process. As a real step towards introducing AI into the educational process, the authors present a methodology for teaching AI to design students at Moscow Pedagogical State University Faculty of Art and Graphics.
