REALITY OF ECONOMIC BEHAVIOR SCENARIOS IN THE CONTEXT OF ONTIC STRUCTURAL REALISM

Serikov A. E.                                                 DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2025-6-9-21

Abstract.

The paper raises the issue of whether the economic scenarios studied in behavioral economics are real patterns. As an example, investment scenarios described in modern fiction are given. The options for defining a real pattern in ontic structural realism are discussed in detail. It is concluded that if the idea of a real pattern is expressed informally, it can be defined simply through a greater probability of correct prediction of data based on this pattern used as input data, compared to prediction without its use, given that the compressed form of the pattern can be represented not only mathematically (in the narrow sense of the word), but as a generalized formula in natural language. From this perspective, typical scenarios of economic behavior are real patterns.

G. KANTOR'S SET THEORY AS AN ATTEMPT TO SUBSTANTIATE THE ABSOLUTE CLAIMS OF MATHEMATICS BASED ON THE SYNTHESIS OF MATHEMATICS AND THEOLOGY

Philatova M. I.                                                 DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2025-6-22-32

Abstract.

The secularization of science has divided two types of discourse: with an appeal to the idea of the Christian God and with a ban on such an appeal – and made them incompatible. Using the example of G. Kantor’s set theory, the author of the article shows that the idea of actual infinity is the link between two types of discourse. Based on this idea, one can trace and evaluate both the importance of Christianity for the possibility of science and the consequences of rejecting its ideas.

Keywords

THE PROVENANCE OF SYSTEMIC THINKING: SYSTEMIC INTERPRETATION OF THE REALITY

Tishchenko V. I., Kuznetsov A. A.                       DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2025-6-33-45

Abstract.

he paper shows that at the turn of the 20th century, in the atmosphere of the spread of ideas about the “chaos of different opinions” and the “destruction” of age-old principles of the development of science, a movement was formed that united supporters of different points of view on the holistic (systemic) perception of reality. It was impossible to find an area of intellectual activity where no attempts were made to discover the transcendental foundations of the relationship between multiplicity and universality, the integrity of the “evolution of spirit”. The principles of metaphysical structuring of levels of cognizable reality were a distinctive feature of the intellectual space of the turn of the century.

REJECTION OF THE METHOD: PAUL FEYERABEND AND PLURALISM IN SCIENCE

Moskvitin V. A.                                               DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2025-6-46-58

Abstract.

Paul Feyerabend is one of the most radical thinkers of the 20th century, who questioned the fundamental principles of scientific knowledge. The article examines his main ideas, in particular, epistemological anarchism, which asserts that science should not be subject to strict methodological standards and that any methods and theories have the right to exist. His criticism of rationality, objectivity and universal criteria of scientific knowledge is analyzed. The issue of the incommensurability of scientific theories and the influence of Feyerabend’s ideas on modern philosophy of science is considered. The author emphasizes that Feyerabend’s methodological anarchism does not lead to chaos but promotes the creative development of science.

DEFINING THE CONCEPT OF “CRITICAL THINKING” AS A METHODOLOGICAL PROBLEM

Sukhanova N. P.                                                 DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2025-6-59-69

Abstract.

The problem of defining the concept of critical thinking is considered within the framework of the analysis based on the social relay theory by M. A. Rozov. It is shown that the absence of a universal definition of this concept is associated not only with terminological difficulties, but also with deep philosophical and methodological differences in the academic community. The study pays special attention to how the social relay theory allows to see that critical thinking cannot be reduced to a once and for all fixed set of properties and processes, since academic knowledge itself is a reflective system. The need to take a supra-reflective position in studying the phenomenology of activity and its mechanism is noted, which substantiates the specificity of various approaches to defining critical thinking. The conclusion is that the polyphony in the issue of defining this concept reflects the special nature of humanitarian knowledge, where consensus is difficult to get for a number of reasons, but the practical demand for teaching critical thinking does not allow us to postpone this methodological problem until the moment of reaching an agreement among researchers.

STUDENT TOLERANCE TO UNCERTAINTY IN THE PERIOD OF ADAPTATION TO A HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION

Ledovskaya T. V.                                                 DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2025-6-70-82

Abstract.

The article shows that uncertainty is becoming an integral part of life in modern society, especially in an educational environment where students face new demands and changing circumstances. The purpose of the study is to determine the dynamics of the relationship between tolerance to uncertainty and adaptation to university education among first-year students. The results show that the majority of students demonstrate an average level of tolerance to uncertainty, with a tendency to increase it in the process of adaptation. The need for psychological support for students with low adaptation has been identified, since the number of such students does not decrease at the end of the academic year. After completing their studies in the first year of university, students fully adapt to the study group, but adaptation to learning activities does not occur yet. The greatest number of correlations between tolerance to uncertainty and adaptability is observed at the beginning of university studies. As students get used to the new conditions, the level of their uncertainty decreases. The findings emphasize the importance of developing tolerance to uncertainty for successful integration into the university environment and building resilience to stressful situations.

FORMING VALUE ORIENTATIONS OF ADAPTED SCHOOL STUDENTS AND STUDENTS WITH SOCIO-PSYCHOLOGICAL MALADAPTATION THROUGH METHOD OF SOCRATIC DIALOGUE: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS

Semenova K. G.                                        DOI: 10.31862/2218-8711-2025-6-95-110

Abstract.

The article reflects the relevance of forming value orientations of middle school students with social and psychological maladaptation. The method of Socratic dialogue is proposed as the main method of forming values of students. A thematic plan of the psychological and pedagogical program «Value Priorities in Your Life» is presented, which is aimed at forming values of students through discussion of philosophical topics that reveal the essence of spiritual and moral, socially significant values. The results of testing the program, which involved 536 students aged 14–15 of general educational organizations of urban areas, are described. The following methods were used in the study: self-attitude test questionnaire (V. V. Stolin, S. R. Pantileev); Reactive and Personal Anxiety Level Assessment Scale (Ch. D. Spielberger adapted by Yu. L. Khanin); Depression Scale (version for adolescents) (A. T. Beck); Aggression Questionnaire (BPAQ) (A. Bass, M. Perry); Methodology for studying value orientations (M. Rokeach, modified by D. A. Leontiev); Methodology for diagnosing deviant behavior of minors (E. V. Leus, A. G. Soloviev). The students were divided into a control and an experimental group, where within each group, according to the results of the psychodiagnostic study, two subgroups were also formed: a group of students with signs of socio-psychological maladjustment (students with high rates of depression, anxiety, aggression, unstable self-esteem and deviant forms of behavior) and adapted students, who have low rates of the psychological phenomena studied. The conducted formative experiment made it possible to determine the effectiveness of the Socratic dialogue method in the formation of terminal and instrumental value orientations. Thanks to the conducted research, the presented program can be used by educational psychologists in working with middle school students in order to form socially significant values, as well as a way to prevent social and psychological maladaptation.

Abstract.

Communication is vital for developing trust and partnership in education but is often hampered by organizational conditions and personal factors such as status, expectations, and communication styles. This article presents an empirical study of parents’ and educational organizations’ communication problems, emerging from the process, themes and barriers of the dyads “teaching staff – parents”, “teaching staff – school administration”, and “school administration – education authorities”. Two groups of barriers are analyzed: general (deficit of openness and dialogue, communication and emotional skills) and specific (low quality of information, unpredictability of communication results, deficit of time for communication). The ways to overcome these deficits, such as creating partnership cooperation of all the participants of the education process are outlined.

Abstract.

The evolution of media communications is closely intertwined with technological progress. The process of digitalization has fundamentally transformed approaches to creating, distributing, and consuming information. New media formats are emerging, and the nature of audience interaction with media content has changed dramatically. The Internet has been the key driver of these changes, which created a new environment that, in turn, has transformed the audience’s perceptions, attitudes, preferences, and values. Anyone creating media content can influence public mindset and, thus, public behavior, which highlights the issue of responsibility for content creators and distributors. The digital transformation demanded changes in media communication education as well, bringing to the forefront a hands-on approach and the need for new digital competencies among educators themselves. The article analyzes the potential for applying digital technologies in developing professional competencies among undergraduate and graduate students in the “Media Communications” field of study, and to some extent, in fostering their responsibility for the media products they create.
