THE DIGITAL REVOLUTION MYTH (ON THE ISSUE OF THE SOCIETY’S SELF-DETERMINATION FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF FUTURE)

Ivannikov Sergey I.

Abstract.

The article is devoted to the problem of self-determination of the society in the era of postmodernism, the perception of modernity as a transitional period and the formation of the image of the future, which influences the development strategy of society today. The article criticizes the concept of the «digital revolution». Analysis of the changes taking place in the society allows us to conclude that the development of modern technologies is a continuation of the scientific and technological revolution of the mid-twentieth century, but not the beginning of a fundamentally new phase of the technological development.

J. A. KOMENSKY’S “PHYSICS”: A BLIND-SPOT IN THE MODERN COMENIOLOGY

Marchukova Svetlana M.

Abstract.

The article is devoted to the study of Komensky’s textbook “Physics” in the context of the philosophy of doubt and hope, developed in the works of V.-J. Dieterich and A. Lischewsky’s that defined one of the directions of the methodology of modern comenological research. Called to overcome the traditional perception of Komensky exclusively as a didactician, this methodology promotes the identification of trinity and multidimensionality – the basic principles of the idea of pansophy – in the content and structure of “Physics”. In the context of the metaphysical tradition of parallel reading of the textbook and the Holy Scripture, the author analyzes the development of the method that allows to build  on a common foundation the order of cognition of things in the material and spiritual world, to unite knowledge about God, nature and man into an integrated system. “Physics” is not considered in the traditional historical and scientific context, but in the historical and pedagogical aspect. The article uses the heuristic method of working with the historical and pedagogical source, based on the methodology of Komensky himself, according to which the “heuristic” level to pansophic wisdom is the “crown of knowledge”. Accordingly, the article outlines some areas of actual comeniological research in the context of the philosophy of doubt and hope.

RUSSIAN UNIVERSITIES ON THE WAY TO INSTITUTIONAL DIVERSITY:
THE STRATEGY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A REGIONAL FLAGSHIP UNIVERSITY

Gavrikov Anatoly L., Pevsner Mikhail N., Petryakov Petr A.

Abstract.

The article is devoted to the problem of expanding the institutional  diversity of universities in various countries around the world in the era of globalization. The management of diversity is seen as an important strategy for the development of Russian universities. The authors disclose the various factors of globalization influence on the cultural and institutional diversity in the system of higher education: the influx of new intellectual forces (brain gain), the growth of the need for programs and modules in different languages, the strengthening of competition between universities, their struggle for the right to be the leading universities of the country. The authors note that decrease in the number of applicants due to the demographic situation helps transform Russian universities into multicultural pluralistic organizations that attract different target groups of students (persons with disabilities, ethnic minorities, international students, etc.). Institutional diversity is promoted by the formation of various groups of leading universities in Russia: universities with special status, federal, national research universities, etc. The article pays particular attention to a new group of leading universities – regional flagship universities whose main task is to promote the effective development of regions by creatingtheir own innovative and entrepreneurial ecosystems. The article describes in detail the interaction of Novgorod region and Novgorod State University, which was included in the group of Russian regional flagship universities.

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN THE ACTIVITIES OF EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS:
PARENTS’ AND SCHOOL HEADS’ ASSESSMENT

Vachkov Igor V., Vachkova Svetlana N.

Abstract.

The article presents the results of the study held in 74 regions of the Russian Federation, the purpose of which was to study the assessment of the heads of educational institutions and parents (legal representatives) of the degree of public participation in the activities of educational institutions. The sample consisted of 2,471 heads of the educational organization and 4,565 parents. It turned out that there are statistically significant differences in three main parameters - the frequency of appeals to parents by the educational organization on certain issues, the accounting of their opinions in the activities of the educational organization and satisfaction with the methods of education and upbringing in the educational organization. Parents assess the extent of their participation in the activities of educational institutions more critically than the heads of the schools and demonstrate the readiness to be involved. Heads of the schools consider the measure of parents’ participation sufficient, not trusting the level of their competence in the educational process.

THE PROBLEM OF UPDATING THE CONTENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION
IN THE ANTHROPOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE

Leskova Inna A.

Abstract.

The article considers a number of factors that hinder the solution of the problem of updating the content of higher education. The main attention is paid to the consideration of this problem in its relationship with the humanitarian-anthropological dimension of education, which directly depends on the anthropological format of the person asked by the state. However, at the present moment this format is distinguished by value uncertainty, since the modern socio-cultural reality is determined by value different and at the same time coexisting anthropological models of man («manipulative man», «man of culture»). This is due to the uncertainty of the anthropological dimension of modern education, which is considered in the article as a factor hindering the solution of the problem of updating the content of higher education. It is shown that the actual and projected qualitative characteristics of the content of education are determined by the simultaneous action of two models  of educational relations – market-oriented and human-sized. The article gives a brief description of the model of subject-centered content of higher education, the construction of which requires the subject’s position of the student and cannot be adequately learned otherwise. This allows it to act as a factor in solving the problem of renewing the content of higher education, to promote the formation of a human dimension model of educational relations and the emergence of a higher school from the state of crisis.

MODEL OF PEDAGOGICAL SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS’ VOLUNTEER ACTIVITY

Averkina Irina L., Avchinnikova Svetlana O.

Abstract.

The article presents a structural and content model of the pedagogical support of students’ volunteer activity in a university as part of the conceptual and purposeful, subjective and functional, substantive and procedural, instrumental and methodological, criterial and productive components. Development of students’ volunteer activity in the interests of the individual and society requires scientifically based pedagogical participation. In the description of the model, theoretical grounds (systemic, axiological, activity, subjective and environment approaches), target guidelines, the principles of pedagogical support (strengthening of altruistic motivation, subjectivity and self-actualization,  empathy, cooperation and ethical responsibility, complexity, continuity and continuity) are disclosed; the main participants of pedagogical support are defined: volunteer, volunteer group, voluntary programs coordinator, teacher and tutor, psychologist and supervisor and their roles; the functions of pedagogical support (diagnostic, motivation orienting, prognostic and planning, educational, advisory, facilitation, normative and analytical) are designated. Characteristics of the main components of personal and professional readiness of the volunteer are given: value and motivational, praxeological, mobilization and reflexive, as well as the stages of its forming: orienting and adaptive, subjective and activity, actualization and leadership. The most suitable for each stage forms and methods of pedagogical support are systematized, including traditional and innovative forms of pedagogical process organization and modern trends in personnel management. Social project activity is determined as the main method of pedagogical support of volunteering. Criteria for the effectiveness of pedagogical support are based on two levels – personal (motivational, competence, regulatory) and group organizational (scale of volunteer activity, quality and intensity, methodological support of the volunteer activity, popularity of the voluntary activity), indicators are given for each criterion. The presented model captures the most significant aspects of the maintenance process, allows it to be reproduced in mass practice, and in this connection acts as an effective means of improving educational work in the university.

Podymov Nikolay A., Zhang Li (People’s Republic of China), Ngo Thi Nga (Republic of Vietnam)

Abstract.

The article presents the materials revealing peculiarities of psychological barriers in educational and professional activity of foreign students. A psychological barrier is understood as an internal obstacle reflected  in the consciousness of a person, expressed in violation of semantic correspondence of consciousness and objective conditions and ways of activity. A specific feature of the manifestation of psychological barriers is the occurrence of “critical points” in the course of activity, in the force of action of which the positive or negative result for the subject’s future activities is determined. It is determined that the most common barriers are the barrier of communication and the cognitive barrier. The authors carried oud the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the data obtained during the diagnostics according to the following methods: Scale of self-assessment of develop behavior (D. La Costa); Method of diagnostics of style parameters of teaching (A. Salomon, R. Felder); Methods of selfassessment of metacognitive knowledge and metacognitive activity (Y. Poshehonova, M. M. Kashapov). We diagnosed psychological barriers of communication with the help of the “Diagnostics of communication Barriers” questionnaire that we specially developed. The study results reveal the need for organization of a special work to form the foreign students’ self-management skills (knowledge of their own methods and strategies of organizing and managing the process of cognition and solving theoretical and practical tasks).

INNER FORM OF THE WORD AND POETIC IMAGE IN ACMEISM: PHILOSOPHICAL ASPECT OF THE CORRELATION

Zanegina Anastasiya A.

Abstract.

The article is devoted to the issue of the correlation between the linguophilosophical phenomenon of the inner form of the word and the concept of the “eidolon-image”. Eidolon is the main component of the aesthetic system of Acmeism – one of the main literary and philosophical directions of the Silver Age. Linguists define the internal form of the word as “image of the image”. In this interpretation we see an obvious connection and similarity with the acmeistic image-eidolon as the creative impulse of the artistic text. Eidolon anticipates the formation of a specific artistic image in the same way as the inner form of a word (representation) anticipates the formation of a concept. According to Nikolai Gumilev, the founder and leader of Acmeism, following Alexander Potebnja, an outstanding linguist and philosopher, poetry is not only a language phenomenon, but also a special form of speech, a unique and creative way of thinking. A distinctive feature of this phenomenon is a thought transformation with the help of a certain image, “image of the image”, the inner form of the word, the analogue of which in Acmeism was eidolon.

DISCUSSION ON MODERN RUSSIAN THEOLOGICAL EDUCATION IN THE CONTEXT OF RELIGIOUS, ATHEISTIC AND SCIENTIFIC WORLDVIEWS

(as regards the historical-philosophical and generalpurpose aspects)

Gusev Dmitry A.

Abstract.

The topicality of the article is determined by the discussion on theological education in modern Russia, which has recently been expanding. It raises question of its possibility, worth, grounding, necessity and positive or negative influence on the Russian society. In the view of religious, secular-atheistic and postsecular worldview patterns that were subsequently changing in Russia’s political and spiritual history of the XX–XXI centuries main pros and cons of theological education being integrated into the present-day secular system appear quite interesting. The attempt of such comparative analysis of coordinates of religious, atheistic and scientific worldview aimed at finding their coincidences and discrepancies bears the theoretic and practical significance as well as the scientific novelty. The main conclusion of the authors is the statement, according to which science, in its essence and nature, is not either an ally of atheism or an opponent of religion, which is why secular education, associated primarily with the development of basic scientific ideas about the world, does not contradict neither religious nor atheistic worldview. Theological and secular education may well coexist peacefully at the current stage of the country’s life and even complement each other.

ON THE PREDICTIVE CAPABILITIES OF CYBERACTIVE USERS BETWEEN 18 AND 22 YEARS OLD

Tolstova Olga I.

Abstract.

This article examines the predictive abilities in the study of the perception of social phenomena by cyber-active users aged between 18 and 22 years old. Specific conditions of the virtual space that affect the productivity of forecasting social phenomena by students are described. The content of the concepts of “virtual reality” and “forecasting” is considered. Depending on the measure of use of Internet resources, subjects were divided into experimental and control samples. Cyberactive students with staying for 5 to 6 hours on the Internet with 7 to 10 years of experience were involved in the experimental sample. The control sample was made by less cyber-active students, who spend 2 to 4 hours daily on the web with the experience from 3 to 8 years. As a stimulus material, a picture was used that contained a complex plot that allowed us to determine the speed and accuracy of predicting social phenomena. As the result of this study, it was revealed that the rate of forecasting of social phenomena is lower in cyberactive users of 18 to 22 years in comparison with the less cyberactive respondents. There are dissimilarities between the experimental and control samples in terms of the accuracy of forecasting social phenomena. The effect of the duration and systemic nature of the subject’s stay in cyberspace on predictive ability was recorded.

FEATURES OF MODELING THE MULTICULTURAL ENVIRONMENT IN A UNIVERSITY IN A NATIONAL REGION

Pudov Aleksei G.

Abstact.

A Russian university on the periphery has become multicultural. A person with a conservative set of ethno-cultural values is not fully ready for a multidimensional dialogue with a previously unfamiliar culture. This generates mistrust between people, deforms the nature of the intercultural exchange. Dialogue, in the conditions of interaction of the conservative ideocratic forms of consciousness and dominant codes of the collective intentionality, becomes more complicated. In a multicultural society, the model of multicultural education needs developing an implementation strategy. The purpose of the paper is to identify the strategy of a multicultural university education in the conditions of the ethnocultural regionality, migration and mass culture dominance. Practical documents are proposed for the implementation of the model of a multicultural environment: a Program to form a multicultural environment in a university; a psychological affirmation to the multicultural education; a memo for students and faculties.

ONTOTHEOLOGICAL PROBLEM IN THE PHILOSOPHY OF ERIUGENA AND FICHTE

Tolstenko Andrey M., Kuznetsova Svetlana V.

Abstract.

The authors offer to include the thought of Johannes Scottus Eriugena’s (c. 810 – c. 877) in the broad context of the traditional metaphysical consideration and understand it as the unity of reflexive panentheism (God is in everything, but not everything is God) and Christian theism. The Irish monk’s ideas of were based on Neoplatonism, which prevailed in Byzantine meditative theology, subject to the tasks of the medieval paradigm of knowledge. In this regard, the «division of nature» of Eriugena’s appears to be ontotheology, on the basis of which he drew out the original religious and philosophical teaching. Essential features of scholasticism, finally established in the XII–XIII centuries, were inherent in his speculations. At the same time, there are speculative moments in it, anticipating and linking Eriugena with German classical philosophy, with Fichte’s idealism, in particular. Critical Fichte’s real idealism is a kind of transcendental ontotheology, based on the egological structures and problems of synthetic a priori judgments. Comparative, concrete historical, typological and textual analytic methods of research were applied to provide a scientific evaluation of the Eriugena’s and Fichte’s philosophical thought. It was found that ontotheology and Eriugena’s panentheism, as its constructive principle, and his teaching on the division of Nature, or God, are comparable with the concepts of Fichte’s egology and German idealism in whole, which preached salvation exclusively in consciousness and through consciousness.

RATIONALITY AND NON-CLASSICAL LOGIC

Yashin Boris L.

Abstract.

The article deals with the problem of understanding rationality at the present stage of the development of philosophy, science and education and its connection with the logic of thinking. It is noted that this connection is most often associated with the basic laws of traditional (classical) logic, with which scientific rationality is often identified. Different interpretations of rationality in foreign and domestic literature are compared. It is shown that the phenomenon of scientific rationality is not reducible to the logical only, but rationality itself is multifaceted. It is substantiated that the basis of rationality can be not only classical, but also non-classical logics, in particular, various variants of paraconsistent logic, as well as epistemic or temporal and relevant logic, logic with strict  implication, the logic of change. The essence of some of these nonclassical logics, their features, possibilities of use in natural and social sciences, education, in quantum mechanics, in probabilistic and inductive reasoning, in the theory of fuzzy concepts, in information retrieval systems are revealed. It is suggested that the search for an answer to the question of the relationship between paraconsistent logic and rational thinking can be productive for the ongoing development of the concept of modern understanding of rationality and philosophy of education.

THE SUCCESS OF SOLVING CONVERGENT TASKS IN THE CONTEXT OF VARIOUS EXTERNAL MOTIVATIONAL ATTITUDES

Gavrilova Olga Ya.

Abstract.

The purpose of the research presented in the article is to determine the possibility of changing the success of solving problems of a convergent type by adolescents by varying the external motivational setting. By convergent problems we understand ones that have only one correct solvation. The study used two types of problems: aimed at the abstractlogical thinking and aimed at the spatial thinking. The article discusses the results of an empirical study of the success of solving convergent problems by adolescents in the context of three different motivational attitudes: neutral, competitive in the context of a personal victory and the victory of their group, held in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in 2017 on the basis of the International Research School as part of the psychology project. PECULIARITY OF ERIUGENIAN PHILOSOPHICAL DOCTRINE

Tolstenko Andrey M., Kuznetsova Svetlana V.

Abstract.

This article considers the phenomenon of the philosophy of John Scottus Eriugena’s (c. 800 – c. 877). Comparative, concrete historical, typological, and systematic textual analytic methods of research were applied to understand and provide a scientific evaluation of the events and facts that triggered Eriugena’s philosophical choices in respect to the medieval thought. Ideas of the Irish monk were rooted in Neoplatonism, which prevailed in the Byzantine meditative theology, and in the language of Hermeneutics’, subordinated to the tasks of contemplating things in the context of the medieval paradigm of knowledge. It was found that the “idealism” of Eriugena’s as a constructive principle in his theological reasoning and in his teachings on the division of Nature, or God, is more relevant to Hegel and German idealistic tradition than to Berkeley’s immaterialism.

Abstact.

The polycutural situation that is formed in the Republics of the Russian Federation demands to organize primary school education about foreign languages in the context of polylogue of linguocultures and to update the content of training. Traditionally defined components of education in such conditions are not fully sufficient. It is necessary to highlight the multicultural aspect which being its integral part is at the same time marking the contents of each component. The main purpose of the contents of teaching foreign languages in the polylingual and multicultural conditions is that it should be sufficient to lay the foundations of communicative and intercultural competence of primary school students and to develop their ability and willingness to participate in the polylogue of cultures.  The multicultural aspect of the content of foreign languages education is considered as a set of skills developed for cultural observation, as well as culturological and linguocultural skills and experiences of the cultures of the target language country, Russia and the Republic, which is home to a primary school student, allowing him/her to build their verbal and nonverbal behavior with their foreign peers, and thus forming the status as the subject of the native cultures. The multicultural aspect includes three groups of skills and experiences. The first group (A) includes the skills of cultural observation and cross-cultural knowledge. The second Group (B) is constituted by proper cultural skills and experiences. In the third group (C) we deal with the linguoculturological skills to use names of countries, cities, holidays, and other specific words that form the Russian and world vocabulary, as well as linguoculturological experiences in the oral or written communication. The main purpose of the multicultural aspect is to introduce students to the culture of the target language country, to help them better understand the culture of their own country and their Republic, to develop their ability to see common and different in various cultures, as well as form the skills in written and oral communication to present their own culture by means of foreign language.

It is noted that the links between culture and grammar are not that obvious, but nevertheless, they are important to the processes of cross-cultural communication. It also reveals the structure of the grammatical competence of a foreign language teacher with the regard to the intercultural component. A classification of special principles to organize the process of forming grammatical competence is proposed; it is oriented towards the study of grammatical phenomena and the cross-cultural aspect. The components of the contents of foreign grammar education are  presented, and the cross-cultural component of the selected components is disclosed. The described five-component system of exercises combines grammatical exercises, following the logic of the formation of grammar skills (language, speech-relative and speech), crossculture pointed tasks, as well as professionoriented exercises are described.

FORMATION OF DIDACTIC COMPETENCE OF FUTURE TEACHERS OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES WITHIN THE SYSTEM-SITUATIONAL APPROACH

Goncharuk Olga V.

Abstract.

It is necessary to make the essence of the notion of the “didactic competence” specific and to substantiate the necessity to develop the indicators of this competence maturity. It is also necessary to work out a list of criteria that specify some aspects of achievement, levels or standards while assessing the maturity of the students’ didactic competence. This supposed assessment is backed with the defining of the students’ professional traits that are to be developed in the process of university education. Clear assessment criteria are to be known and understood by students and teachers in advance. Such criteria may become the background of the situational tasks work out based on the system-situational approach. However, it is not only the students’ knowledge that is to be assessed, but also their professional experience as a component of thedidactic competence. The system-situational approach complements the activity approach to the formation of the methodological competence of future teachers of foreign languages, developed by G. V . Rogova.

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF INTERACTIVE METHODS OF TEACHING PROFESSIONAL ENGLISH TO STUDENTS OF NON-LINGUISTIC UNIVERSITIES

Nikolaeva Natalja N., Matorina Irina N.

Abstract.

The paper discusses the authors’ experience in applying interactive training methods in teaching professionally-oriented English to those students who do not major in linguistics at BMSTU. It takes into account the integrated learning methodological value of both professionally-oriented subjects and the English language. Special attention is given to such methods as the case study method, round table talk, and project activities; their reasonable practicality and efficiency in the professional oral and written language skills in the real business communication setting are considered. Students’ common communicative mistakes are assessed; some ways of their correction are discussed. We prove that the interactive training methods allow both to upgrade the students’ level of ESP communicative competence and to develop such valuable specialist traits as engineering system thinking, interpersonal and business communication skills, ability to work in team and independently, leadership, creativity, and determination.

ON THE ISSUE OF D.S. MEREZHKOVSKY’S WORK IN THE CONTEXT OF THE SERBIAN-RUSSIAN ASSOCIATION BETWEEN 1920 AND 1940

Skorokhodova Svetlana I.

Abstract.

The article states that the Kingdom of Yugoslavia became the center of Russian emigration in the Balkans from 1920s till 1940s, the peculiarity of this emigration is emphasized: it was precisely the white emigration, that is, the Orthodox and the monarchical. The idea is substantiated that although Merezhkovsky seemed lonely and misunderstood in that environment, he was provided with both, material and moral support. The letter from the “Archive of Yugoslavia” in which the philosopher applied to the Serbian king for material assistance to publish his book is presented. It is shown, that his work was of particular interest to the Serbs, his works were actively published. Some of Merezhkovsky’s philosophical ideas have been analyzed in those works that were well known in the kingdom. It is alleged that they are largely born from the depth of the writer’s experiences, though being inspired by the Russian philosophical thought. The peculiarity of Merezhkovsky’s philosophical position is revealed: on the one hand, he called for a spiritual rebirth which should entail bodily immortality, on the other – he predicted a worldwide death. It is emphasized that some of his ideas of the emigrant period are relevant nowadays. Conclusions are drawn that Merezhkovsky’s philosophical views of this period, although peculiar, are close to the religious trend of existentialism; that in general it is necessary to study the legacy of the Russian emigration.

“THE CONCEPT OF A NEW EDUCATIONAL AND METHODICAL COMPLEX ON NATIONAL HISTORY”: PROLEGOMENA TO MODERN PHILOSOPHY OF HISTORY OF RUSSIA

Abstract.

The author analyzes “The concept of a new educational and methodical complex on national history”, the basic valuable principles and the methodological bases of which are considered as the basis for designing an actual
model of philosophy of history of Russia. It turns out that “the assessment factor” in the “Concept” is prior to the phenomenology of historical knowledge. The “Concept” also approves the principles of the multilevel and multiple-factor design of a historical narrative with an emphasis on the anthropological and culturological approaches. The conclusion is at the same time drawn that in the “Concept” the conflict of interests, that is in-system for the domestic philosophy of history, between the state and an individual which can essentially correct a modality of design of a historical narrative isn’t resolved.

Abstract.

The article reflects the scientific approaches and prospects for the use of distance learning technologies (DLTs) in the system of preschool education. Insufficient development of scientific-theoretical foundations and didactic opportunities of the DLTs complicates the process of using DLTs in the system of preschool education. Modern scientific research studies and newspaper articles reflect the main directions and features of DLT use in preschool educational organizations (PEOs). However, there is no unity among foreign and domestic scholars in the
scientific approaches and terminology of DLTs.  The article proposes to consider such scientific approaches to the DOTs use as axiological, person-centered, system-activity, technological and complex, which are the justification of the effective use of DLTs in the system of preschool education.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF POLITICAL RATIONALITY IN POLITICAL PHILOSOPHIES OF THE REFORMATION

Chaly Vadim A.

Abstract.

The paper examines the rational contents of political views espoused by Luther and Calvin, defines their role in the process of rationalization of the politics during early modernity. In contrast to the established view of the Reformation political theories as based on the Christian ethics of nonresistance to secular authorities the article proposes the independence of their political constructs, rationality and specificity of their ideas in the political sphere, intensity and feasibility of their understanding of political actors’ motivation as well as the political situation of the day. Theories of the Reformers are viewed as an important stage of the general process of rationalization of political theories, taking parallel course to thinkers of the Italian Renaissance and greatly influencing later fully-fledged moral and political theories of Hobbes, Locke, and Kant among others. The analysis of Luther’s early political works “To the Christian Nobility of the German Nation” (1520), “A Sincere Admonition by Martin Luther to All Christians to Guard Against Insurrection and Rebellion” (1522), “On the Temporality” (1523), is presented. Two lines of his reasoning, one theological, the other prudential, rational are revealed. It is proved that the latter stands independently from the theological arguments; veiled by the Christian ethics of nonresistance appeals to the secular authorities (German noblemen) to change the power of the keys backed with a detailed program of action are shown. The same work is done on the political thesis of concluding chapters of Calvin’s “Institutes of the Christian Religion”.

Keywords:

political rationality, Reformation, Luther, Calvin, problem of nonresistance, realism.

ACTIVE FORMS OF TEACHING PHILOSOPHY IN A UNIVERSITY

Gusev Dmitrii V., Esipova Nadezhda D.

Abstract.

It is stated in the paper that the philosophy as the quintessence of culture plays a fundamental role in higher education and in the realization of the creative potential of man in the sphere of cognition. This role of philosophy is especially relevant in connection with the effect of negative social factors, which influence the direction of development of education in modern society. Particular attention is paid to the following: excessive cognitive load at an early stage of the child’s development, which prevents the fullfledged emotional and social development; adominance of economic values in the public  consciousness; strengthening tendencies of narrow specialization and more rigid regulation in education. Thus, the article sets the goal to identify the specifics of teaching philosophy in a university in the context of the formation of motivational orientation of students, creating an environment for the students’ personal emotional involvement in teaching and educational activities. Such a role of philosophy can be effectively realized through the use of active forms of teaching, which contribute to the development of creative thinking. The potential and pedagogical effects of such an active form of teaching as a communicative game in teaching philosophy are analyzed.

teaching philosophy in a university, active forms of education, game techniques, communicative game, motivation of educational activities.

MODERNIZATION OF PEDAGOGICAL EDUCATION ON THE BASIS OF

L. S. VYG OTSKY’S IDEAS OF CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL PSYCHOLOGY

Obukhov Alexey S.

Abstract.

The article focuses on the reflection of experience of modernizing pedagogical education on the basis of practical realization of L. S. Vygotsky’s ideas of cultural and historical psychology. It is shown how the basic ideas of L. S. Vygotsky (such ideas as the development as mastering of culture, age, a ratio of education and development in the zone of proximal development, about change of the social situation of development and crises of growing, about roundabout ways of development, about causal life history, about the highest mental functions, about everyday and conceptual thinking, etc.) can become a methodological basis for designing the process of teacher training for variable practice of the developing education. «From action to a thought» and social constructivism as a way of activity in a situation of uncertainty and variability became the fundamental principles of modernization of the pedagogical education.

ON THE CAPABILITIES AND LIMITATIONS OF THE INTELLIGENCE TESTS

Bogoyavlenskaya Diana B., Zhukova Elena S., Nizovtsova Anna N.

Abstract.

The article compares the data of diagnosis using the “Creative field” method and the Raven’s test (Colored and Advanced progressive matrices) on two groups of subjects: pre-school / primary school children (n = 103) and adults (n = 70). The correlation between the success of mastering the material of the “Creative Field” (the time of finding the way to solve problems, the speed of fulfilling, the number of errors, etc.) and the results of Raven’s Progressive Matrices test was found. However, gifted examinees who acted in their own way did not differ in their intelligence level from those who mastered the given activity successfully but remained within the set requirements. The results of the conducted study do not allow to view the high scores in Raven’s Progressive Matrices as a criterion for the identification and prediction of giftedness.

THE EVOLUTION OF CULTURE AND PRIORITIES IN THE FIELD OF SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE: THE PROBLEM OF ANTHROPOLOGISM AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENCE

Butov Aleksandr Yu.

Abstract.

The article on the extensive historical and cultural material deals with the process of change, shifting the focus of scientific knowledge from anthropocentric to sociocentric, most clearly seen in the period of the New time – era, which had a huge impact on the formation and development of scientific thought. In direct relationship with the spheres of culture and art, the basic periods and stages of the formation of European science are examined; the influence of cultural policy of the state on the society outlook is traced. Science, in this case, is represented as a complex sociocultural phenomenon which, in the presence of a certain immanent logic of development, in the framework of its public implementation is determined by the nature of culture and by the influence of the state system that sums thegeneral orientation of research interests and, to some extent, the approaches to understanding the world.

ON THE ISSUE OF THE PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS’ ATTITUDE TOWARDS MONEY

Kochetkov Nikita V.

Abstract.

The article raises the question of what psychological problems are triggered for representatives of socionomic professions by socio-economic changes. The theoretical aspect of this issue concerning motivation for the professional activity, as well as the empirical one, is considered. The student sample shows the specificity of the future psychologists’ attitude towards money. It is proven that the intensity of the attitude towards money in this group of respondents is lower than that of students’ of the technical profile of training, but in the case of the first group the attitude towards money is interrelated with the intention of life-purpose orientations,
while in the second group it is not. In addition, it is demonstrated that in the market economy

Abstract.

It is stated in the paper that the educational system can be considered as an institution which enables to establish stability in the relationship between an individual and the society. Thus, the article sets the goal to identify the specifics of the subjects involved in the educational process and the decision-making process. Three groups of such subjects are analyzed in the paper: subjects of the individual decision-making in the educational system (those who are studying); subjects forming an enquiry to the educational system or certain educational institution for new knowledge and competences (state and business) and subjects related to the organizational processes in the educational system (faculty and administration of the higher education institutions). ON THE ISSUE OF SOME PHILOSOPHICAL AND HISTORICAL ASPECTS OF A. S. KHOMYAKOV’s AND Yu . F. SAMARIN’s CONCEPTIONS

Skorokhodova Svetlana I.

Abstract.

The article discusses and compares certain philosophical and historical ideas of A. S. Khomyakov’s and Yu. F. Samarin’s which influenced the entire Russian philosophical and social thought of the XIX – early XX centuries. It is stated that Samarin’s philosophy of the history is based on the political philosophy, which he associated with the deep questions of human existence and the personal revelation doctrine. The article shows that if Khomyakov indeed was a supporter of the “universality” and saw Russia still in the family of European countries, it is Samarin whom the Russian philosophical thought owes the idea that coexisting but distinct “worlds” can develop in different ways. The article discusses the views of Samarin’s and Khomyakov’s on  the Slavic question. It demonstrates that in Khomyakov’s works the Slavic world led by Russia is intended to unite the East and the West, while according to Samarin, Russia and the Slavdom are a peculiar world of value in itself. The article substantiates that the semantic center of the Slavic idea, in the Moscow School’s representative understanding, is not the pan-Slavism but the idea of the “Slavic brotherhood”, which is not opposed to the rest of humanity and is not offensive but defensive in nature. It is emphasized that the idea of the “Slavic brotherhood” most accurately expresses Samarin’s and Khomyakov’s desire to embody the principle of “sobornost” in the Slavs’ social life. The article discusses the questions on the meaning of history, the “Russian idea”, the importance of faith in the peoples’ destiny, and the Polish question. It is concluded that the philosophical and historical ideas by Khomyakov and Samarin are objectively meaningful in modern times; that the concept of “sobornost”, in its essence, is one of the strongest centers of their organic, holistic creativity.

EXPERIENCE OF APPLICATION OF PROJECT-BASED LEARNING METHODS IN WORK WITH CHILDREN OF SENIOR PRESCHOOL AGE

Volynkin Valery I., Sorokina Zhanna I.

Abstract.

The article presents the experience of application of project-based learning methods in work with children of senior preschool age in the municipal budget educational institution “Gymnasium No. 3” Astrakhan. The scheme of implementation of «the Family» project for children of a senior preschool age is proposed. In present-day Pedagogics a view over a pre-school child is intensively advocated as a “self-developing system”, while the adults’ efforts should be aimed at creating conditions for self-development of children. A means of ensuring cooperation of children and adults is the design technology. Participation in the design allows both, children and adults, to develop different conditions for themselves as well as for others, i.e. changing circumstances to change themselves. The design technology requires individual original solutions and at the same time – the collective creativity. Due to the group creativity, even being applied in a small-group setting, the ability to reflect, to choose adequate solutions, to build a whole out of parts are rapidly developing.

preschool education, motivational readiness for learning, project activity, project method.
